There are plenty of worthwhile and rewarding opportunities at SERVE, some of which are listed below. You can volunteer as much or as little time as you want (1 or 2 days a week or every day, half days or full days… It’s up to you!) Uniform and expenses are provided according to the role. If you would like further information or an informal chat please get in touch.
Volunteer drivers are always welcome for our Community Transport Scheme! As a driver you will pick up clients and take them to medical appointments at doctors, hospitals, opticians, dentists and the like. Escorting clients door to door, you will provide a hugely valuable service that will have a direct impact on the health of local residents, who might otherwise not be able to make their appointments.
Our minibus drivers take people on day trips to a wide variety of locations, from the seaside to shopping centres and pub lunches. Lunch, drinks and a uniform are provided. Our day trips combat social isolation, help people make new friends and see new places, and are a lot of fun!
Volunteering at the Ron Manning Day and Activity Centre is a rewarding experience, with opportunities to help supporting clients, preparing meals, and administration.
Do you have a sympathetic ear and a caring nature? Could you spend around 2 hours per week visiting isolated elderly and frail adults at home? Please contact us 01933 315555.
