Accident Prevention

The purpose of the Accident Prevention Service is to help older people live as independently and as safely as they can within their own homes, contributing towards their overall well-being.

Statistics have shown that with the support of services such as our own, we can assist older people in the reduction of accidents within the home and subsequent hospital visits.

Who is eligible?

Anyone over 60 and adults with disabilities living in their own home.

What services are offered?

  1. Our trained handyperson or a volunteer can carry out a risk assessment in your own home.
  2. With your permission we can arrange for any necessary minor repairs or adaptations to be done.
  3. These include grab rails, stair rails, handrails and assistance with minor adaptations
